Video in a post

Adding a YouTube video is very simple.

Presentations in posts

Published using Google Documents. Almost any presentation can be uploaded to your Google Drive, converted to a Google Docs format and then published on the web. Doing that provides some html code that can be copied and pasted into the blog post (using the HTML tab instead of Compose).

Images in posts

A photo from another site added via its URL

Displaying a screen print of some work - like a page of a Word document.

Displaying slides from a PowerPoint presentation. (PowerPoint includes a Save presentation as.. jpg files option, the images can then being uploaded as a group)

Sample first post

This will probably be a simple introduction. Students might say what course this is all about, or a particular unit or task they've been working on. Tutors would start with its purpose - to outline course requirements, notes, assignments etc., or give instructions.

An organisation could also use the blog as a simple web site where they can promote their courses, invite comments and feature new developments. The facility to have several 'pages' in Blogger can be utilised to great effect in this respect.
